We've been visiting new playgrounds almost every week for the last year. Just about all playgrounds have a swing, slide and some sort of climbing element in their design. Vago Park in Maryland Heights had these elements, but in a way that we hadn't played on before!
There wasn't necessarily a section of the playground designed for younger kids, but they did have a ramp, two stair platform to climb which lead to the roller slide. As you can tell, the roller slide is one of our favorites!
This merry-go-round was was neat because our smaller friends could join, too!
Bongo drums, a wind chime and driving steering wheel section for smaller kids to play on. This boogie board was a fun addition that I've never seen before! I love that it was used as a hammock, a pirate ship, and a surfboard all while we were there playing.
The climbing elements of this playground was the part that set this playground a part. The circular structure, the rings, two types of monkey bars, and then this large ropes obstacle course type thing gave my boys who love to climb lots of opportunity to do so!
Two zip line swings were at this playground - one with a bucket seat with lock-in-place harness and another with a traditional round zipline seat.
Another really cool feature that I had never seen was this weight equipment! It was SO cool - or at least the adults thought so! I cannot wait to come back just so I can use it again.
While this playground was not a completely inclusive playground, it was really amazing for my boys who love to climb! There's a whole other playground and splash pad at the front end of the park, too! There's a great walking trail, tons of parking, bathrooms (though they were closed for the season while we were there), picnic tables, basketball courts, and so much more.
Have you ever been? Would you go? Let me know!
