Growing up I pictured myself sitting on the front porch drinking sweet tea and loving on those seated next to me. When we bought our house last year, we wanted two rocking chairs. Then we realized that would only be seating for the two of us and we wanted more. :)
I had been searching for furniture for a while, and found this set at a warehouse in St. Charles on sale. There were a few pieces missing on the table, but the owner was so kind in making sure we were taken care of. We opted not to use that table, and found these end tables at Big Lots.
I love coming out here in the morning with my coffee or in the evening where J and I can chat in the breeze. This has probably become my favorite spot of our house.
In February, Justin and I started leading a Small Group at our home every week. Within the last few months we've gotten to grow closer with several families from our church, and also grown closer to Jesus. It's been amazing to get to know these couples, as well as love on them and their kiddos.
I was so thankful we decided to get the full set of furniture when one of the families came over for some homemade chocolate chip ice-cream sandwiches and stayed to dance in the rain.
Out of all the places they could have chosen to live, I'm so thankful it was only a few exits away from us.
