Welcome to Day 19 of 21 Days of Indoor Play! If your kids are literally climbing the walls at home, it’s time to take them to a place where they are actually supposed to do that. Today we are visiting the indoor rock climbing wall at Kinetic Park in Dardenne Prairie.
This is one of those hidden gems in St. Charles County that is high-energy, high-reward, and surprisingly low-stress for parents.

Come As You Are: You don't need to rent expensive climbing shoes or harness gear. Standard athletic sneakers work perfectly on this wall, making it a very easy "spur of the moment" trip.
Small But Mighty
While this facility is smaller than some of the dedicated climbing-only gyms in St. Louis, it is incredibly well-maintained and "family-sized."Helpful Staff: Every time we’ve visited, the staff has been fantastic with the kids—helping them get clipped in and giving them little tips on which holds to grab next.
Confidence Builder: Because the wall isn't overwhelmingly tall, it’s a great "starter" gym for toddlers and elementary kids who might be intimidated by massive climbing centers.

Hours of Operation (2026)
Tuesday – Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Monday: Closed (except for select school holidays!)
Note: The outdoor skate park has separate hours, but the indoor climbing is great year-round.
Check the Waiver: To save time at the door, fill out the safety waiver on the St. Charles County Parks website before you arrive!
Bundle the Fun: Kinetic Park also has an incredible outdoor skate park and bike track. If the weather clears up, you can easily pivot from indoor climbing to outdoor wheels.
