My 2023 Reading Goal

I've never been a big reader. While J always has a book with him, the phrase "nose in a book" has never been used to describe me. I've always been a good reader, whatever that means, but something happened in fifth grade where reading stopped being for fun and became something I had to do. I'm trying to remember, but I think there's been 5 fictional books that I can remember reading to the end within the last ten years.

However, I am on occasion 'easily influenced' and when people started posting about their yearly book recap or ABCs of books they read at the end of last year, I wanted to join in! So, one of my goals for 2023 is to read a book that starts with every letter of the alphabet. 26 books. That's one book every two weeks.

It's going to be challenging... especially coming from a non-reader, but with my other goal of keeping social media off my phone, I'm feeling really confident that I'll have the time to read! Or listen to a book! I'm still not a huge fictional reader, maybe I'll try that next year. Here's my list of books I plan on reading this year! Stay tuned to see which ones I love, liked, or wouldn't read again.
