Rhythms of Renewal | My 2023 Reading Goal

I remember seeing Rachel Lyons on Instagram in what seems like ages ago. She has the cutest family, and I have always loved watching the relationship between her oldest son, Cade, and youngest daughter, Joy, both with Down Syndrome, develop a sweet sibling relationship.

When I saw Rhythms of Renewal: Trading Stress and Anxiety for a Life of Peace and Purpose the word 'rhythm' just really jumped out to me. This was a good book, with LOTS of practical stories from her own experiences and suggestions for how we can trade stress and anxiety for peace and purpose.

I loved the four main sections that were broken down this book - rest, restore, connect, create. I love the gentle reminders for how to rest and tips for offering restoration but my heart needed to hear bits and pieces from the connect and create sections. I loved that her chapters end with reflection questions which allowed me to have journal prompts to apply what I had just read.
