Our Farmhouse Glam Bedroom | WORK IN PROGRESS

I think the hardest room to design has been our master bedroom.

I've been looking for something that flowed with the rest of our faux farmhouse look, but was a little more glam than the rest of the house. Since we don't spend much time at home, I wanted our room to be a place where we could unwind and relax. For the last year, I've been adding pieces to the room as I found them. There are a few pieces I still want to add, but I'm pretty happy with how it looks now!

I love a good bargain, especially when things are shipped directly to my door. A good chunk of my shopping came from Joss and Main. If you're not familiar with the site, they have designer pieces on sale sent directly to your inbox each day!

While I LOVE Joss & Main, I also believe in supporting local businesses. One of my favorite places to find decor pieces is at Gateway Auctions in St. Charles, MO. They have Wayfair (Joss & Main's big sister) products sold at an even deeper discount. They get trucks in every weeks so the inventory is always changing.  Sometimes they don't always have exactly what you're looking for, but they usually have something similar. I've always had really good luck finding key pieces there.

I searched for months before I landed on this weathered oak, linen upholstered bed found on Joss and Main. Thankfully, Gateway Auctions had it for a fraction of this price. I love that it blends both farmhouse and glam together!

The bedspread and pillows are from Joss & Main and I found perfectly matching curtains from Kirkland's on clearance.

As far as the nightstands, I'm pretty sure Justin was so annoyed with me. I bought and he returned several nightstands before deciding to go with Ikea's Rast nightstand. There are so many Ikea Rast hacks out there that I will attempt at a later time, but for right now, I'm happy with them just being painted white and having matching pulls with the dresser.

I had bought the dresser when I moved into my apartment several years ago. The paint had started wearing off and I no longer loved the two silver drawers. When I painted the foyer floors, I decided it was also time to paint the dresser. It got a few coats of fresh white paint and I reused the same old silver knobs. It's crazy to think that one fresh coat of paint could make such a big difference.

Before.

AFTER!!!

This cute cake stand I found at Hobby Lobby displays our perfumes and colognes, but also helps keep our dresser from getting cluttered.

These "book stands" are actually shelf brackets I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby for $3!

Probably my favorite addition is our Fiddle Fig Tree!
