I read No Perfect Parents by Ann & Dave Wilson earlier this year and really loved their style of writing. This book was no exception - Vertical Marriage is a really great marriage book I wish I had read in our early years of marriage!
Their down to Earth writing style, funny stories, and both of their perspectives on marriage make this book an easy read, but full of good nuggets that you should apply to your marriage. One thing I loved about this book was that Dave took ownership for his thoughts and actions that were not Christ-like towards other women and even pornography. In my previous marriage, I read several other marriage books where they mention it and excuse the behavior as "well, that's just how men are" however, Dave shared how the fruit of Holy Spirit is self control and how these thoughts were not okay. I appreciated his vulnerability, accountability and response towards the issue.
