We're no stranger to The Last Hotel- we've shot Brides & Grooms getting ready in the suites, a poolside rooftop wedding, one of their winter menus and holiday photos, in addition to us eating here a few times and J booking a Valentine's Day staycation last year. The staff last year was AMAZING and the food was outstanding. I still dream of the fries and wings we had that time.
This time was very different - they were not friendly and it was an inconvenience for them to check us in. The morning staff was a little better, but still rude while checking out. The food was less than expected this time - but they did make a cute Shirley Temple for our son. The bun of my hamburger was squished and definitely not fresh. Our room was so HOT and the AC would not turn on, but because the check in experience was a nightmare we didn't even bother asking for them to fix it.
While the adults were disappointed, the kids had no idea and loved our time there! The rooftop pool is really the only reason to book this hotel. It's gorgeous and has a great view of the sunset. I loved that during our stay there were other families staying, too! The boys had so much fun playing in the pool with other kids their age way past their bedtime!
Overall, if you're looking for a fun pool to swim at with great views of the city, this is it, but I wouldn't be expecting anything more than that.
