St. Louis Indoor Play: A Sweet Tour at Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company

Welcome to Day 21 of 21 Days of Indoor Play! Today we are heading to the Hill neighborhood for an experience that is a literal treat for the whole family. If your kids have ever wondered how their favorite candies are made, the Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company factory tour is a must-see.

It’s a rare chance to see a working candy factory in action. It feels a little bit like stepping into a modern-day Wonka factory, but with much better smells!

Why It’s a Great "Quick Trip"

The tours run about every half hour and last roughly 20 minutes.

Perfect Timing: It's long enough to be interesting but short enough that even my littlest stayed engaged the whole time.

The Candy Shop: After the tour, you end up in their massive retail shop. It’s the perfect place to grab a gift or a small treat for the ride home.

Seeing the Magic Happen

Hand-Crafted Details: You get to see the artisans hand-decorating the truffles. It’s a great lesson in craftsmanship and how much care goes into local products.

The Samples: Let’s be real, this is why we're here! Everyone gets a delicious, fresh sample at the end of the tour!

Book Ahead: These tours fill up fast, especially on school holidays and weekends. I highly recommend booking your slot on their website a few days in advance.

Cleanliness: Because it’s a food-safe facility, everyone has to wear a hairnet (yes, even the kids!). It makes for some pretty adorable family photos.
