Clark Family Branch of St. Louis County Library | Indoor Play in St. Louis

Welcome to Day 15 of 21 Days of Indoor Play! Today we are visiting one the newly remodeled, and my personal favorite of the St. Louis County Library system: the Clark Family Branch. This isn't just a library; it’s a 74,000-square-foot community hub. Whether you have a toddler who wants to drive a fire truck, this branch has something for literally everyone in your family.

The Children’s Space: A Miniature Town

Located on the second floor, the children's area is a vibrant, colorful world of its own. My kids head straight for:
  • The Fire Engine: A large, interactive fire truck that kids can actually climb into and "drive." It’s the centerpiece of the room and a guaranteed hit.
  • Magnetic Gear Wall & Light Tables: Perfect for the builders! These stations are great for fine motor skills and open-ended STEM exploration.
  • Reading Nooks: They have these adorable, built-in circular nooks in the walls where kids can curl up with their favorite new find.

Hours of Operation (2026)

Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Friday – Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Field Trip Family Tip: 📍 Outdoor Space: If the weather is nice, take a walk on the trail that loops around the building or hang out in the Post Plaza courtyard.
