If you've ever driven down 64 on your way to Forest Park in St. Louis, you have probably seen the large turtle structures on the side of the highway! Since I was a kid, I've wanted to play at this park! The large turtles to climb on and a playground you can see from the highway always seemed to be the perfect place to play!
While the turtles were so much fun, I will have to admit, the playground was less than ideal on a sunny summer day. We stayed here about 30 minutes then went over to World's Fair Pavilion to play in the water because it was HOT!
The only shade this park offered was under trees on the perimeter of the playground. On a cooler day, this may be a really perfect place to play, but keep in mind, if the sun is shining, these slides and equipment get hot!
There are bathrooms on premise, I wouldn't say they were dirty, but I also let Rhett pee behind a tree instead of using them.
Four green slides were on the bigger set of equipment. Monkey bars and a few ways to climb up!
A few swings to play on were between the two playground sets. Another set of swings with bucket seats were on the opposite side.
This fun wooden climbing turtle had a double slide.
More bucket seat swings were on the side of the playground for smaller kids. This set even had monkey bars that were a little lower and a roller slide!
Have you played here? Would you play here? Let me know in the comments!
