Old Towne Park | Things to do with Kids in St. Charles

St. Charles Parks,

I’ll be honest- I don’t have a lot of good things to say about this park. It was kind of sketchy and the playground had lots of graffiti on it. I’m not one to get spooked easily, I mean I take the kids to parks in St. Louis and Chicago alone and have never had weird vibes like I did of this park. However, the pavilion near the parking lot was home to several homeless or displaced people. The bathroom was a popular place where a few ‘friends’ were taking a little bath in the water fountain and another was doing some laundry. It is right next to the highway. Like literally, there is a chainlink fence and a little brush that separated us from the highway, so it was incredibly loud.

The playground was small, but we loved the rock climbing wall! There were a few slides and a ramp, and a few other climbing things. Even though we had fun climbing, we probably wouldn’t go out of our way to play here again.
