It's hard to believe our little Wild One is turning a year old already! Through the craziness of 2020, we got to spend so much time as a family and enjoy this "baby" season. I have always loved the book, Where The Wild Things Are and we read it to Rhett while he was still in utero. It seemed like the right thing to do for his first birthday party, after all, he is a wild one.
I printed cute quotes from the book to place around the living room where we had the party. This balloon garland and banner are both from Amazon.
I found a crown shaped cookie cutter and made sugar cookies as favors for everyone to take on their way home.
This backdrop from Amazon was such a fun find that I felt really made it feel so much more "themed". His two tier cake was the first time I had ever attempted in making anything like it. I melted chocolate and poured onto wax paper, then broke into strips and attached to the icing to give it a tree bark look.
