Roasted Asparagus for Michelle

Somehow we got in the habit where people will bring me uncooked food and I'll cook it for them. Michelle brought some asparagus over the other day and this is how I always fix it. Sometimes, if I have a lemon on hand, I'll squeeze a little lemon juice over it for an extra flavor.


Roasted Asparagus 

Fresh Asparagus 
Parmesan Cheese 
Garlic Powder 
Salt 
Pepper 

Preheat an oven to 425 degrees F. For fresh asparagus, cut the bottom inch off before cooking. 

Place the asparagus into a mixing bowl, and drizzle with the olive oil. Toss to coat the spears, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. 
Bake in the preheated oven until just tender, 12 to 15 minutes depending on thickness.
