Mama Gip's Chicken Dressing

If I'm being honest, I don't even know the lady who's recipe this was. But I do know the granny I got it from and that I've been making her cornbread dressing for a while now and I love it a little more each year. Dressing is my favorite holiday dish and is J's, too!

I make a pan of cornbread and a pan of biscuits the Monday before Thanksgiving and let them sit out the next two days. You want them good and dry and easy to crumble.

Mama Gip's Chicken Dressing

4 cups corn bread crumbs
3 cups biscuit crumbs
2 cups chopped chicken
5 or 6 cups hot chicken broth
1 1/2 t sage
1 1/2 t black pepper
1 t celery salt
1 chopped onion
2 stalks celery
4 eggs
salt to taste
1 stick of butter

Cook and debone chicken. Mix all the ingredients together. Bake at 350 until it's golden brown.
