If you have an animal lover in your family, the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium in Springfield is a total world-class experience. We spent about 3 hours exploring, and every single minute was packed with wonder!
The facility is massive, but it is super stroller-friendly with wide walkways, smooth ramps, and easy elevator access throughout both the Natural History Museum galleries and the giant Aquarium section. The natural history exhibits feel like stepping into wild habitats around the globe, while the sprawling aquarium is full of vibrant marine life, stingray touch pools, and immersive underwater tunnels.
Why We Loved It:
Indoors: It seems silly to mention it, but when the weather is too hot or too cold, or just not cooperating, we love that this is an indoor option!
Awesome Volunteers: The volunteers stationed throughout the exhibits were incredible! They were so eager to talk to the kids, share fun animal facts, and answer all their curious questions.
Natural History & Aquarium Blend: Having both massive wildlife galleries and an ocean aquarium under one roof kept the kids completely engaged from start to finish.
Reciprocal Network: Wonders of Wildlife participates in reciprocal membership networks! Using our AZA network benefits saved our family $75 on admission for this trip alone - which made an incredible day out even sweeter!
