In just about every St. Louis mom group on Facebook, people LOVE to recommend the Daniel Boone Branch of St. Louis County Libraries so you know the boys and I had to go check it out! The children's section is on the lower level. There's parking on that side and you can walk straight into the children's section, making it easy to push a stroller around!
When you walk in, you'll go past all of the shelves of books and end in their discovery zone! There's a few computers and some large touch screens with educational games. Plenty of seating and books are located around one of the rooms for you to find a cozy spot for a book! There's a wall dedicated to the scarf tubes.
Another fun feature is climbing up the stairs to slide down... or even crawl under the tunnel... to the other side.
There's a kitchen set with some play food items, foam blocks, and legos with play with along one wall.
Inside the little house is another kitchen set and even a working doorbell!
A lego table is in the center of the room with lots of chairs, tables, and seating options around the edges for parents to read or work.
Along the red wall are more magnetic toys on the white boards. Inside the little door of the red area is a ball run and a few toys fastened to the wall for smaller friends.
I loved that there was a bathroom with child size toilets and sinks and even a sink outside the bathroom to help keep hands clean!
We had a good time playing here and I can definitely see why everyone recommends this library.... even if I think Meremac Valley Branch is still my favorite.
Have you played here? Would you play here?
