Thanks to our reciprocal membership from @themagichouse, we were able to explore these fantastic places for FREE! Have I mentioned how much I adore my membership and all its benefits? 🎟️
Upon getting your hand stamp, you're welcomed into a massive room with smaller sections broken up throughout. You're greeted with the large packaging tape tunnels which lead you to a package tape slide or another obstacle course! Cubbies for shoes are along the edges with seating directly beneath.
Under one of the climbing nets was a math and music exhibit where you could compose a song or spin turn tables!
The energy exhibit had big wind turbines to scale and a rollercoaster to race. Of course, there were more climbing attractions that lead you to ballapalooza exhibit! A cute nod to the oil industry, kiddos can collect balls in several different ways through the simple machines. When they've worked together to fill the oil derrik, there's an overflow of balls to start the fun all over again.
Outside of the exhibits, in the main area, there's seating around foam building blocks and a wind tunnel with scarves.
When things start getting a little too overstimulating, there's a calming immersive environment! A seamless, projected reality around you responds to your every movement! The music is so calming!
The science lab had several different experiments happening throughout the exhibit and an educator there to give instructions and answer any questions! This was a really awesome opportunity that we haven't seen and many other science centers.
However, the workshop stole the show for Rhett! With free rein to create something amazing using scraps and tools, his imagination knew no bounds! 🔨
While most of the areas cater to big kids, Discovery Lab have thoughtfully set aside a specific area for our younger kiddos to play, especially during summer when it's buzzing with field trips!
Lastly, there's the water play area! Be sure to put on one of the waterproof aprons before play as they'll obviously get wet! There were lots of toys to play in the pools of water in here!
Our playtime adventure lasted about two hours, but we could have easily spent even more time had it not been packed with field trips.
Have you ever played here? Would you play here? Let me know in the comments!
