If you've been following along for any time, you know we love visiting parks and playgrounds! We try to spend the majority of our summer outside playing which means we're on the go frequently. Over the last two summers, I've perfected my summer "park bag"! I always have it stocked and in the van, ready for our adventures.
First thing- my bag! I have the CUTEST bag from Happy Camper Clothing Co. that represents one of my favorite cities - St. Charles, MO! I love this canvas bag because it's so spacious and can be cleaned easily. But I really, really love it because it's made from my friends over at Happy Camper.
Inside my bag, I bring 2-3 beach towels. Some playgrounds have splash pads or water features where we end up needing a towel. Just as a random mom hack, having a towel in the car is always a great idea. You never know when an explosive diaper or vomiting child will happen and it's great to have on hand.
For all those wet clothes, I love having a wet bag with me. I used these for cloth diapers, but I love that I still have them for wet clothes.
Some of my favorite purchases at Once Upon a Child have been the children's shoes. I LOVE Native shoes for the boys during the summer. They're water-friendly and great for slippery surfaces, but because of all the holes sand can easily escape, too. Mud isn't a problem either because they are easily washed.
I always pack sunscreen with me! I like a mineral sunscreen as I feel it's the safest for skin and our environment.
The risk of dehydration in the heat is not worth it to me so I always pack the water bottles. We've used the plastic ones, but the Yeti keeps the drinks cooler for longer. You know you're not going far as a parent of toddlers without having snacks on hand. I like these reusable snack bags and of course, my Chomps beef sticks for some protein!
Lastly, is my mini first aid kit. As much as I never want to have to use it, this always comes in handy when Welly bandages comes in the cutest little boxes which are great for adding other items like Young Living Owie oil. If there's a scrape or burn, I use this on the boo boo.
What's in your park bag?
