Y’all know I’m a sucker for a themed playground! This playground was such a cute treehouse theme with dragonflies, owls, caterpillars and hollow logs. We had so much fun exploring this new to us playground and then walking the trail around the playground that included a bridge with a creek, huge puddles, and fallen logs to climb upon.

There’s a few things I always look for in a playground before I call it a “great” playground and this meets my standards!

One, it’s an inclusive playground- meaning friends of all abilities can play. I love there’s adaptive swings, a merry go round that a wheelchair can easily roll on, a seesaw, plenty of ramps, and this playground even had a sensory, calming corner!

Another one of my favorite features a playground can offer, especially for my two boys, a fence! I LOVE that more and more playgrounds are having these surrounding them these days. While I’m always watching my kids, it gives me a bit more of a sense of security that they can’t just dart into the woods when there’s a fence surrounding the playground. While it’s not a completely closed fence, there are only a few places to enter or exit.

Shade and benches. I love playing with my kids, but sometimes it’s just nice to sit and let them make friends and play independently. This park had three separate areas for shaded benches.

Because you know, every single time you go somewhere someone has to go to the potty. This playground, probably because it’s newer, had a lovely, spotless bathroom and water fountains right next to the playground.

In the summertime, I love packing little lunches for the boys to eat after we play. This play area also had large pavilion full of tables and lots of trash cans!

I loved watching Rhett swing on the zip line, so proud of himself for figuring it all by himself. I of course couldn't let him all the fun! We had so much fun exploring this playground, we can’t wait to come back and play with Daddy.
