The Three C's to a Strong Relationship

The conversation started, "If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?" We talked about the safaris in Africa, the warm sandy beaches of the Caribbean, the romance of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the massive Pyramids of Giza, and the tallest skyscrapers in New York. One simple question started a few hours long conversations about these "landmarks" people reveled at. How people would travel miles across countries and oceans just to get a glimpse of some of these man made structures.

France has remained one of the places we would like to cross off our bucket list first. The Eiffel Tower and it's iconic symbol of love and romance just seems fitting for us. Not only is it a tall wrought iron structure, it rests upon concrete foundations installed a few meters below ground-level, topped with a layer of compacted gravel. While it stands over 300 meters tall (1,063 feet), the sturdy base is 125 meters (410 ft) on each side of the square. Over the last 129 years, the Eiffel Tower has never fallen, yet remains to be one of the most popular paid attractions in the world.

Similar to your marriage, you simply cannot build a tall, lavish structure that people look at in awe without a sturdy base. Each day we pray that our marriage would be a reflection of Christ's love for His church. Not so people are in awe of us, but can stand in awe of Him.

These Three C's are a sturdy base to build your marriage upon.
Commitment. Communication. Compromise.
